Donna K. Brock in "Link your students to the four corners of the world" on www4teachers webzine says:  "I began to surf the Web for resources to use with my sixth grade social studies students.  I found that the Internet is a treasure trove for a social studies teacher on any grade level.  As I became more familiar with the huge quantity of material, I began to search for quality sites that would best meet my needs.  The four sites I found to be most helpful to my subject area were National Geographic, Mr. Dowling, Mr. and Mrs. Donn's Lesson Plans, and Geography World."

Mr. R-D Miss Emma's Web World says:  "Wow, this site is good!  Covering every aspect of the geography curriculum in detail, it combines maps, pictures, text and intelligent links to offer a comprehensive resource for geography teachers or an invaluable addition to a student's learning.  Use it as a basis for lesson plans or simply as a reference site, but definitely have a look!"

Gloucester County Public Schools, VA says:  "A teacher from Jermyn, Pennsylvania, Brad Bowerman, has created this geography site that links to everything on the web a geography teacher (cultural or physical) should need.  A great find was the links to Maps and Globes, with lots of links to maps and a link to Map Jokes (with Map Haiku also at that website).  There is a Geography Quizzes area ...you just need to decide which quizzes to use.  World regions are represented with many links that could benefit students researching individual countries.  Included in these links are resources created by Mr. Bowerman."

Lesson Plans and Resources for Social Studies Teachers says:  "The site was developed by Brad Bowerman, a teacher from Jermyn, Pennsylvania, and is appropriate for students in K-12.  It features links to maps and globes, geography games and quizzes, and additional resources for enriching the study of geography.  To find lesson plans, click on For Geography Teachers."

Wolf Creek School Division No. 72, Alberta, Canada says:  "A cornucopia of geography related information. This link will take you to their table of contents, from there choose your subject. From there they will take you to all sorts of things about that topic. For instance if you choose 'Canada' from their table of contents you will find you can then choose from atlases, visitor guides, Canada's parliament, etc. You may even look at some of Mr.Bowman's own science notes."

K-12 Social Science Sites by Gina Otto says:  "This resource links to everything on the web a geography teacher (cultural or physical) should need. Links to Maps and Globes has lots of links to maps and a link to Map Jokes (with Map Haiku also at that website). In the Geography Quizzes area, you just need to decide which quizzes to use. World regions are represented with many links that could benefit students researching individual countries. Included in these links are resources created by Mr. Bowerman, the author."

Power to Learn, Elizabeth Murphy (Grade3) Otsego Elementary School and Vivian Hollinger (Grade 3) Bayview Elementary School says:  "This website (Geography World Games) links to forty geography games with a variety of difficulties. It provides a wide variety of activities which are both challenging and fun. This colorful site containing high interest quizzes, mazes, and contests also includes additional links to educational resources. It is recommended for grades K-8." 5 star rating

Advisory Council for Technology says:  " This site provides access to a large amount of information and to many different aspects of geography. The contents are separated into topics such as erosion, plate tectonics, and weather and also covers issues such as population, the environment, and conservation. It has links to maps, games and quizzes that teachers could easily incorporate into an interactive lesson plan. Younger students would be excited by the information on earthquakes and tsunamis, and by the space photos. Older students could handle topics such as rain forests, the Greenhouse Effect, and mining. In addition, the site has information on the field of geography including careers in geography, world records, and geography in the news. This would make an excellent resource for all geography teachers where they will find information on the five themes of geography and national geography standards. Keywords: Geography. Science."
