The Great American Challenge says:  "I am a former social studies teacher and now own a performing arts group called "The Great American Challenge".  We perform a game show called "Geo-Feud" as an assembly program for elementary students in the Chicago area.  This is our 9th year of doing the show and annually perform about 150 programs.  During our show I often give out web site addresses that students and teachers might find interesting.  Yours is currently on my list - keep up the good work!"

Sue Laird, Overbrook School for the Blind, Philadelphia, PA says:  "I found a great site for Geography Activities.  It was created by a man named Brad Bowerman at Lakeland HS in Jermyn, PA.  It is a very creative site where teachers and students can learn new skills, practice existing skills, take quizzes, do Internet Scavenger hunts, view and print maps of almost everything, etc.  You can print maps and run them through a tactile image enhancer for use with the Braille students.  There is so much information and so much to do that one could be there for hours.  It is called Geography World and the URL is http://geographyworldonline.com/index.html  Using JAWS v2.2 and the INS F5 command, the information will be reformatted so that the pictures disappear and only text is visible.  This makes it easy to read using JAWS commands.

American Library Association says:  "Created by a geography high school teacher, it is one of a few very good starting points.  Its opening page has a table of contents with topics of interest to all geographers, for example: earth's surface and erosion, ecosystems and environmental issues, human culture, and maps and globes."

Rochester Public Library says:  "This site is maintained by Mr. Bowerman, a high school geography teacher.  It contains hot links to cultures from around the world, maps from around the world and more.  This site seems to have everything anyone might need in the way of geography."
